Hello,

I'm installing an EP Cube Hybrid system to protect an entire load panel. I hired an electrician to run the wiring and the image is what they are proposing to do. I want the gateway to control when I pull from the grid. From the electricians diagram, wouldn't the tap allow the load panel to pull grid power regardless of the gateway?

As background,
Meter (200A) -> Main Service Panel (no feeders, acts as disconnect) -> Load Panel (feeders)

I want to splice and extend the grid to the grid terminals on the gateway. I would then wire from the load panel to the load terminals on the gateway.

The diagram makes no immediate sense to me. It looks like a lineside tap solar backfeed without any backup capability.

Edit: It looks like it could possibly be an adequate diagram for an EP Cube Lite grid tied battery, which does not have backup capability.

The battery would be connected to the gateway it's just not show in the diagram. I was able to confirm the way this is designed would cause a backfeed to the grid if the battery were to activate, which is a no go.

The electrician decided to backout??!! so I'm going to run this myself.

Do you still need a diagram? I have a engineer stamped diagram from my EP Cube install. I feed my 200A grid service directly to the gateway after an AC Disconnect.

be interesting to see your diagram even if the OP doesn't need it. Just black out or remove the identifiable info. Post it?
