Interesting idea that I read on Bloomberg that seems similar to a Tesla powerwall. Battery used to help supplement grid as needed plus backup house.

I don't think they will just give you the 20kwh battery for $2K without any strings. This seems like a home backup system via battery and without any Solar or a generator unless I'm reading it incorrectly.

Well they are going to be your energy provider and yes solar not an option as of now. For someone like me who lives in city that requires professional licensed installation and 8902 permits to even consider battery backup it could be a nice option.

The FAQ is vague on a lot of things. I only pay 9-11 cents per KWh where I am. I bet they charge more. Sounds like a scheme to just get you on their rate plan.
