How can I set up small electrical system from Jackery 1000v2 AC plug?

This is less of a solar question per se and more about how to power a few lights / switch from a single AC outlet in my jackery 1000v2.

We plan to keep the Jackery as the permanent power station for our little shed, and it will routinely charge via solar. But the shed is 12x10 and I also don't want extension chords going all over the place.

I'm sure I can't be the first poster with a question like this and there must be a Youtube vid out there somewhere that I can't find.. How can I start with 1 of the AC outlets in the Jackery and from there wire up say up to 8 different lights - most being recessed style, a couple on/off switches, and maybe a fan or two (set in the walls) for ventilation.

(I had initially wanted to go with skylights in this shed which would largely solve this issue but that turned out to be a bigger project and $ than it's worth at this point in time... but I digress)

Thank you!

That unit is more or less like having half of the power of any other circuit in a home.

Just wire the shed like you would anything else with 120 vac with surface wiring. Something like wire mold that goes along the surface of the shed looks nice. There are plastic and metal versions - both are fine.

Here are some examples, but you can even find it at larger hardware stores.

Ok so I would wire it like I would anything at home, but how do then I connect the wiring to the AC outlet on Jackery?

At the hardware stores they sell plugs that you connect to the wire. Here is an example:

Essentially you are making your own extension cord on that end.

If you are using a "real" inverter instead of an all in one, then most of those have an actual hardware capability option that you screw down onto.

It isn't like those have a lot of power, just because there are a lot of outlets on the box surface. A Jackery like that power wise is the equivalent of one half of an outlet.

Imagine that this outlet is on your wall in a normal home. What it can do is the equivalent of using just one of the sockets on that outlet.

The alternative is to just buy a good quality extension cord and run it from the Jackery to the light switch. This might actually be safer if you purchase an outdoor rated extension cord.

It isn't uncommon for me to buy an extension cord that has a molded end that I need and cut off the other end to make the desired wire. Sometimes that is the only practical way to do it, and it looks nice.

You can wire the lights and fans in the manner of residential house electrical (e.g. Romex or conduit), all to a central distribution block or small electrical panel. Then connect the distribution block or electrical panel to the Jackery. Depending on how you do that, you may need to make a custom cord. Another option is a generator receptacle like a Leviton 5278-CWP with off-the-shelf cord.

I don't know about the Jackery but presume you shouldn't expect the ground connection to function as many power stations don't support that.
