Hey, have a question regarding my victron 500 smart shunt. This is my first battery monitor and am a little confused. Multimeter on the battery (100ah lifepo4) read 13.9v but smart shunt has it at 13.26. I followed recommended set-up and was wondering its someone can tell me why this is so.
TIA

same reading from the Fluke at work.
That's strange, the smart shunt is normally resionable accurate. Have a look at the series 1A fuse in the sence cable, this may have a connection issue or is faulty, or the wrong fuse. ( a batch was on the market with an incorrect fuse, most were recalled)
Perhaps see it you can probe the connection at the shunt.
The shunt may be faulty or a return ( if obtained from amazon).
Check the sence wire is in the correct position, and the negative cables are as shown.
( you will have checked this but trying to cover all possibilities )

That makes sense. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know what I come up with. Cheers

I have the same problem with Victron battery protect.
Its set the volt lower than the battery it self.

It looks like that the problem is in the connection cable
In my case its black cable that have to be connect on the battery minus connection.
Same that i can not use it on a bus bar or make the cable longer. (Volt drops)
In your case can be the same with the red cable that have to connect direct to plus side of the battery .
And not on a bus bar or set the wire longer .

Try that and see if you problem is gone.
