EG4 6000xp Recovery After SOC Discharge Cutoff

Nice to see ya! Thanks for demonstrating this.

When you find out when the rest of the inverter turns off, find out if solar wakes it up with NO grid.
In case you want something else to do :)

Not EG4 6000XP but my LXP SNA 5k wakes up without grid. That happened two months ago.
In fact, the wake up is clean. The inverter just wakes up and blinks the battery icon repeatedly indicating 0 SOC until it catches up and starts charging.

Count me interested in whatever this 'something else' you want to do🙃

I'm on it, will test this soon.
Same here, changed to the 6000xp, completely off grid, no AC input. Its sunny out for next many months. Interested to see if it can recover and power up without out issue on solar after snow melts off panels. It should! If it cant without intervention its a deal breaker.

So when does the inverter switch back ? Like assuming you are in self consumption mode with the grid available. You hit your on grid Cut off SOC of 20 percent. Its in bypass now, solar comes on during the day and starts to charge the batteries, when does it go back into self consumption mode?

I have my settings set to off-grid as in this working modes document. AC Charge disabled -> On-Grid Cut-Off SOC(%) = 20% -> Off-Grid Cut-Off SOC(%) = 15% (less than On-Grid Cut-off SOC %)

With this configuration bypass mode kicks in when the SOC % goes below 20%, the Grid and/or Solar feeds the loads and charges the battery until SOC% = 30% or 10% higher than On-Grid Cut-Off SOC%. At that time it switches back to self-consumption mode.

Hope this helps

If you hit your on grid SOC cutoff (switch to grid), mine is at 23% and grid goes down it switches to battery. If it gets below 20% in my config, everything shuts down till grid comes back on as seen in video.

Perfect, thanks!

I absolutely looooove my 6000XP unit. We have it our camp up north. We went up with the fam last week for a few days. When we got there it was about 87 degrees out. When I went inside the camp, the thermostat said 71 degrees lol. We left a 400W AC unit going non stop for the last month there to keep it cool. No issues whatsoever providing power for a small AC unit, no complaints here!
