Tried to order some parts last week and their online ordering does not work , have been trying to contact them for a week by phone and email with no luck. Someone posted on the alte store facebook page they were told by another vender that alte store shut down / bankrupt.

Anyone know anything about the situation??

Looks like I missed a thread already started on the 16th about alte.

I sent a message to alte on their facebook page April 22 and I just received a reply this morning.

"Hi , I'm so sorry, but altE was abruptly shutdown. Fortunately, the company's assets have been acquired by a very capable renewable energy product and service company, GoGreenSolar. We expect the company will resume altE's full operations in the weeks to come."

Alt-E's website domain was purchased by another company. Now, the issue is, Alt-E was not bought out as a whole, and the new company running the site seems to be denying taking on the warranty liability of any prior customers despite taking on the Alt-E name.

My company purchased the assets of AltE Store. We also own and opearte GoGreenSolar and Unbound Solar. AltE Store is still in business. KiloVault LLC was a seprate company, operating out of the same location as AltE Store. We did not purchase KiloVault, LLC. We are working on an upgrade program for customers stuck with KiloVault batteries. Happy to anwser any of your questions here.

what does 'stuck with kilovault batteries" mean
the sol-ark 15k system here includes an HAB-XL which seems to be working properly, with its associated phone app still keeping track of it
thank you for any further information you can offer/

Hi John, glad to hear that your HAB-XL is working properly. Unfortunately not all KiloValut customers have batteries that are working properly. Some of these customers are stuck with improperly working batteries and need some type of service which is not avialble since KiloVault LLC is no longer in business.

kilovault as brand may be defunct but there must be a pretty substantial battery company still out there, given the quality of the batteries they were selling to kilovault.

i wrote to topband about their potential support for their kilovault rebranded batteries.
asked them whether they would take up support for the batteries kilovault sold.
they replied in the affirmative, more or less. i'm most interested in making sure any firmware or software updates are installed to the battery and phone.
the phone application is still working, though is of pretty limited use.

have you been in touch with topband?

We have referred people to Topband since they are the OEM of the battery. Although we have no control of how they respond to customers since they have no contractural obligations to our company.

Deeppatel726,
I purchased a complete system from AltE in December of 2021, (installed/commissioned September of 2022) for my off grid cabin in northern Wisconsin, which included (4) kilovault plc 2100 12v batteries. I can DM you the sales order so you know my exact system if you wish, for the sake of conversation. Currently, everything is working as expected except for one issue. One of the batteries seems to be failing and maintains a much lower voltage rating than the other 3. I have received a few recommendations through this site as well as other sources but as for now, with good sun exposure through these summer months I am getting by. I am anticipating having to replace the entire bank at some point, likely early fall this year. Basically, looking for recommendations and/or options in the way of either the possibility of replacing the one failing battery (yes I realize not recommended) or what battery bank configuration would be a good fit for my current system.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I do agree with the recommendations that you recieved here of not replacing the single failing battery since this method would not be the best value for your dollar invested. Can you please DM me your contact information so we can figure out how to help you
