So I’ve got most of what I need ordered but researching installation for my boat. My idea is to have one 300 w foldable that I can put out while im at anchor and the weather is nice for added power. I’ll have one fixed 200w charging all the tim. What I’m going to fix it to I don’t know yet. The 300 watt fold out comes with a pretty crappy (from reviews) little 20 amp pwm. The 200 watt rigid I bought a 20 amp epever mppt. I just read that the controllers should be paralleled. My question is, if I’m only going to pull the 300 out every so often how will this affect the whole system? Also the wire that comes with the 300 is 10 Awg and I plan on using 12awg with the 200. Does this matter? Should I get 12awg for that as well? Do I really need to parallel them? Also I would prefer a mppt but right now I’m at my spending limit for the lot so just going to keep the pwm for now. Can I leave them both plugged in at all times and add or subtract that extra 300w like I want?Another question, I got a 20 amp breaker to go between the mppt and the battery bank will this work as opposed to a fuse? And do I need another one between the solar panel and the mpt? Or is that somewhat optional? Thanks in advance
