I wanted to simply set the PIP charge settings for my two 200amp Renology Gel batteries to the "AGM/GEL" setting and let it automate the charge. Unfortunately their default is to bulk charge at 28.2v then float at 27.0v. If left to finish a charge cycle on the PIP "AGM/Gel" setting my rested, (disconnected from any load) battery settles at a final charge is 26.3v or so. Renology states to maximize battery life the Gel batteries should only be charged to 25.6V so I am overcharging my battery on the "AGM/GEL" PIP charge setting. I solved this by going to "User" on the battery charge choice then setting the bulk charge voltage to 27 volts and the float to 26.5v. That setting seems to leave the disconnected, settled battery right on target at 25.6V. The stock charge settings in the manual show a standard three phase charge cycle, the user defined settings seem to use this same preferred cycle as well as the current steadily drops off as the battery completes its charge cycle on "user" charge mode.
