So my brother picked up an aftermarket hard top for his 1953 Willys jeep that has no top at all. The jeep is solid but the top was very cheap and very rusty. It included doors and windows. I was discussing Electrolysis with him to remove the rust with baking soda and dc voltage. We are thinking of turning it up side down in a kiddie pool and then setting it in for a few days to de-rust with a battery charger. Could I just attach a solar panel in the back field to some leads or would this damage a panel possibly being in a max draw situation for long periods of time? Will it damage or short the panel in any way? Seems like a great way to de-rust a bunch of rusty stuff without pulling 10 amps from the mains for 3 days straight.
