I have a Renogy Rover 40 amp controller.

I found info saying that because there's no float for a lithium battery it's best to set the Float and the Absorption/(Boost?) both at 13.4 volts.

The controller has an Equalisation Voltage and the manual recommends no voltage and it can't be switched off. What voltage should I set it too?

My solar Bulk/Absorption is set at 13.80 with a short 10 minute absorption time.
Float 13.00 as I prefer to use/cycle some battery capacity. Float at 13.3-13.5 is fine too depending on the situation.
I equalize every three weeks at 14.20 for maybe 15 minutes to give a little extra balancing.

Your setting of 13.4 volts may leave the battery at 80%/90% charged depending on the length of time. That is OK if that is the intent.

Thank you for the reply time2roll:

If you Equalise at 14.20 volts every 3 weeks,
what do you normally have it on?

Not sure what you mean "have it on". Mine is set to user defined parameters.

Morningstar controller lets the user program the frequency of equalization by counting days, program any voltage, and about any length of time. Equalization starts at the end of absorption as programmed.

I see. You can do a long term setting. Unfortunately the Renogy doesn't accommodate that.
