Lv2424msd utility power

Should the lv2424msd charge from utility source onlywhen unit is on? Mine only charges when power button if OFF. But the machine isn't really OFF.it shows utility icon chargeing the Batts.and fans run. DAZED AND CONFUSED ?. What happens when Batts. Are fully charged? Does the screen go off, mine has not...normal? ? or does the unit turn itself off...

I have the newer hv lv2424. I'm sure it's different, but there's a ton of settings in the menu that don't come default correctly for usa market. And if you haven't really, and I mean really read the manual you could have all sorts of surprises. Mine is supposed to be able to do it both ways if you change the settings. So check your manual and make sure everything is set how you need it.
