My utility power went down yesterday and somehow never started feeding my battery. early this morning I see the alarm light flashing on the battery. The charge is down around 15%. I got the utility power back feeding my new EG4 inverter. The sun is out and charging my EG4 40 amp battery pack, but the alarm light is still on. I tried turning everything off and re-starting, but it is still on. I hope it is not going to blow up! Any suggestions?

The battery voltage is normal. Now that the sun is higher, the charging output is around 1kwatts. I changed my battery type from " USE" back to LI4, now I can see that the battery is at 15%, although it does'nt seem to be increasing. now the battery is isolated to the PV and the utility is carrying all the load. I take it that the alarm light should go off once the battery reaches some? state of charge. I'll check it in an hour, to see if it is charging.

OK now the battery is at 26% and the alarm light went off. It would have been nice if the alarm had made some noise before the battery got so low, but apparently the buzzer is defective. The Buzzer mode is set to default, but in the two weeks that it has been running, I never heard a beep. Any fix for that? Thanks for your response.

I've never heard an alarm on mine. It might be a real nuisance if it did, for hours. It seems the alarm flash is normal. A few here have noted the same results. I called sigsol and was told that they don't know and never heard of it..??
Anyway, it should be ok. The batteries also seem to charge a little slower at the bottom of the range. Just my experience.
