Is liquid tite legal for inside conduit?.

I see a lot of posts with wall-mounted inverters and 3/4 liquidtite PVC flexible conduit running along the drywall to the panels. Is this ok to do running along drywall?.Also, I have an interior wall to run #6 wire thru to get to my panel. Can I put a box on one side and another directly across in the other room and push the wire thru to the back of the boxes.My real question is does the # 6 wire that goes thru the 3.5 in of drywall need to be protected where it goes inside the wall, in conduit, that would be tough, or can it just be the wire?.I hope some of that makes sense.

Where are you located? In most jurisdictions in the US running unprotected wire in walls is not acceptable. NMB is okay. The most useful answer is with the Authority Having Jurisdiction. That typically is a city of county in the US.
 
As far as I know, Liquidtite is legal. I even think it is preferred over Aluminum flex on exposed installations but inside walls, Aluminum is much easier and less expensive. You would have to check with your AHJ.

What type of #6 wire? Individual THHN wires, then the answer is no. NM-B is fine and that's what you want to use. Just keep in mind #6 NM-B is limited to 55 amps intermittent and 44 amps continuous.

Individual THHN. I'll post some pictures of what I'm up against, really tight spaces.

So rip out those two small plastic boxes, install larger metal boxes with more room to work, and use two pieces 3.5 long 3/4 PVC between the two thru the wall? Then from inside box to panel with what I call bx cable. How would you do it?.

I'm not seeing any plastic boxes.

Still I think I'm following you. A box would be great. Something like a 4 11/16th (yes that really what it's called....) should give you plenty of room but are normally only available at supply houses.

You could also see if a conduit body or a pullin L would work for you.

So I think you're on the right track with that greenfield especially if you can start on one side and make the turn into the wall without a box but I think that's going to be a challenge. Sorry but I'm getting the "look" from my SO as we appear to be late for something I forgot about so I've got to go.
