Used sol ark 9k value?

So I went on a job today to help a local guy install 2- Outback Radian Gs8048A inverters. After we finished up and commissioned the system , I noticed a sol ark 9k 240vac inverter on the wall , nothing attached, not in use. It's too small, so they went with the 2 new 8k units. Local guy thinks I could buy this cheap.
I don't have any model numbers but it is a 9k sol ark 240/120 48vdc inverter. It works fine just too small.
What do you think it's worth?

Well they don't make a 9k. Make sure what he's got, it could be a 12k model, which has 9kW of output?

It's probably the 12 , I will check tomorrow. Local guy just said they replaced it cause it was only good for 9k.

But the 12's can be paralleled so why not just add another one? That seems like easier than buying two new GS8048's. Seems like there's more to the story.
