That is the positive bus. Just to the right is the negative bus.
I agree not a great place to put the bus. Best to have all wire off the floor.

Understood. Better to not base your knowledge and understanding on his setup. He is constantly changing things and testing new equipment.

With several different batteries etc. shown I could see grouping the combinations to attempt to keep things balanced.
Considering the placement I would assume it is temporary.
