Hi everyone,

I am new in inverters. Please help me to understand root cause of following issue.

My configuration:
Growatt SPF5000ES + 48v100ah rack pack
Inverter and battery connected using cable from battery set(BMS port on inverter side, RS485 port on battery side)
Inverter program 05 set to LI, program 036 set to L01. Connection successful, seems all working well
inverter program 021(cutoff percentage) set to 20%

I have following issue during discharge:
When 5% remain till cutoff percentage, inverter starts show fault 04(low battery voltage), while battery has same voltage as few minutes ago
I've tested several cases with different cutoff percentage, same result. When 5% remains to cutoff, error shown.

Then I start charging, fault 04 will disappear when battery reach 30%.

Thanks for help!

This is normal.
The BMS is telling the Growatt to display that code.
I assume that the red light on the battery is also blinking? If not, it will be at about 20%.

I didn't have chance to wait to cutoff unfortunately. 5% till cutoff, alarm on battery not blinking. Thanks for help!

Sorry forgot to ask:
I don't have solar panels, so when inverter is in idle mode(utility connected, PV absent, load not connected), inverter self consumption power always taken from battery, therefore battery every few hours discharges for few %. Why inverter doesn't take self power from utility?

It takes its power from the battery so that it doesn't shut off in a grid failure. Otherwise, it wouldn't be able to switch the loads to battery.

Hi, I have a Growatt SPF inverter 5000 ES. Is involved as an island. (SBU) Sometimes it happens that after turning on the LED light in the house (30W) or connecting the laptop charger (50W), the inverter will switch to the error code 04, even if the SOC is 90%. The connected washing machine (2000W) or dryer (650W) is without problems. Problems are only with some appliances.
I will be grateful for any help.

Firmware Version 067.01
