You don't need one, it has a transfer switch built into the unit.looking to get a eg4 18k pv , do i need a auto transfer switch with this unit for when the grid power goes down , to run off my battery bank

yup, on hold with them 10+ min so far. really ridicules that a Company ID code is like top secret info. Neither Victron or Growatt require this info for a customer.Signature
OK, 20 minutes on hold but I have to say the rep knew what was coming. I sent an email about 30 min prior and when I called she had my phone number from the IVR and looked up my account and had my email pulled up. Before I could finish with my request she has the code I needed. The support was very nice and much faster response then the previous time I called about a year ago. I did recommend putting this code in with the product to avoid a 5 minute call and the customer on hold for 20 minutes.yup, on hold with them 10+ min so far. really ridicules that a Company ID code is like top secret info.
