EG4 6000xp up and running!

Very clean. I'm curious about your battery cables. Looks like you used one size from rack to busbar and then stepped down from there to the inverters. 4/0 to 2/0 or something different?

I got the inverter to busbar cables with the EG4 6500ex kit from Signature Solar they are 1 awg. The cable from busbar to battery bank is old beat up ground cable from my arc welder I had laying around, can't read any markings on them anymore. I measured with my calipers and they measured somewhere around 4/0 and 3/0 (I found varying information about diameter online). I used 3/0 lugs and they fit nice and tight. I plan on adding at least two more batteries so I built the busbars to connect those when I get them.

A waste of time, but couldn't look at the 6500ex color any longer. They should make the change at the factory.

Looks great! Very interested to see how you like the 6000XP's and those EG4 batteries, as they're the first thing I've truly considered as an alternative to the Victron equipment I was planning to use for a new home, later this year. Thanks for posting this - please keep us updated with your observations and thoughts.

Curious, but would anybody know if you could do a similar setup for 400 amp service using two 6000XPs per panel and share a single batter bank?
