For this diagram, when u have the manual transfer switch grid connection on top right of the main load panel, I'm assuming you have that double pole breaker with generator lockout bar, so in case you have the manual transfer switch to "grid" (up position) then you won't be backfeeding the grid...

You can still use the smart home panel 2. You can pair in tandem 120v breakers to effectively make it take 24 breakers. Obviously the 240v loads like ac will take up two slots, but same two slots with tandem breakers will power 4 circuits. This is what I plan to do with mine. I would obviously...
