    BMS discharge fault

Disconnect the balance leads first and then disconnect the BMS at one of the terminals. Let it sit for a half an hour then connect the terminal back up and then plug the balance leads back in. I had an issue with one of mine sometime ago and this is how I fixed it.

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Hi Missoo, Welcome back. Put a small load on them and see how you go but do not charge them back up to 14.6. Your cell differential of 0.043v isn’t too bad considering you overcharged one cell. Is cell No.2 being lowest voltage cell the same cell that you overcharged.

I accidently deep discharged my LiFePo4 prismatic cells

No need to apologise as it seems like you have enough on your plate. Hope it all works out for you. I need to do some tests on the Daly BMS to see how much they drain the batteries and why they didn’t shut down when reaching low voltage. At 0.2A it will take forever on yours. As mine are...

I accidently deep discharged my LiFePo4 prismatic cells

Just curious, did you raise the voltage in steps and if so what voltage did you start charging at? I have just collected my RV after 4 months and both my two 208Ah batteries have discharged. One to 10.8v and the other 9.8v with plenty of cell divination and the lowest cell down to 2.344v. I...

Grade A 280Ah prismatic cell price

@ghostwriter66 did a great post on cell quality so maybe she could shed more light on the quality given the changes by EVE and CATL. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/how-to-tell-the-difference-between-grade-a-and-grade-b-cells.28114/

Grade A 280Ah prismatic cell price

My understanding was that we couldn’t not get automotive grade cells which were considered to be A+ cells and that we were being sold what was A Grade that did not quite meet automotive quality but were suitable for what we use them for. Take a look at this thread which states what what EVE and...

I might have bought the wrong inverter...

Before you get carried away worrying lets just take a look at the maximum wattage appliances you are going to use. Yes you may have bought the wrong size inverter for a 12v system but if you are unable to return it then lets look at the next best option. So do you have a 4000/8000 watt...

Which CC for small home-made LiFePo4 camping battery?

Sounds like that Renogy will be a good start for you. Just remember to make sure you choose 12v when programming for LiFePO4. Would appreciate how your Kings blanket performs as I test lost of panels and recently did a test on the Kings small semi flexible panel. Good luck.

Which CC for small home-made LiFePo4 camping battery?

Consider that solar blankets laid flat will produce about 50% of the rated power. Even tilted then you will struggle to get 80%. Will take a look at the Victron for you.

Which CC for small home-made LiFePo4 camping battery?

I live in Australia but visitIng the UK at the moment. Ok which cheap solar blanket? Rather than buy some things which you will later put into a spares bin which you probably won‘t use anymore have a good think about your future power usage and what you will need. Yes buy the PWM if just a...

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Thanks Mike, I wasn’t sure if there was a manual switching to provide protection or to disconnect it but then again whether it is automatic as you suggest. I agree that the cell voltages are a worry and that is why until the protection is sorted out that Missoo keeps the the battery and cells...

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Hi Missoo, Enjoy your travels . I‘m in your beautiful country at the moment and presently at Colmar for 3 nights. No, you should not be charging to 14.4 so set your maximum battery voltage on your BMS to 13.4v and cell voltage to 3.35v. until you are able to balance the pack again...

Is this inverter good for my campervan conversion?

Hi Mike as usual great points that you have picked out. I’m from Australia but visiting the UK at the moment although currently in France. What I have seen from two friends here is they just run one outlet from the inverter for the 240v and so only use that single outlet. They do not connect...

Is this inverter good for my campervan conversion?

That inverter is probably not made by that company and it will just be a rebadged unit. The link below has a unit through Amazon and yes there are some bad reviews on the brand as with all types but for this model there appears to be mostly good reviews...

    2 mppt controllers compatibility

I do it and many others do it. It is not a problem as long as you set the parameters the same on each controller. You may get one controller shut off before the other but your battery will be very near fully charged.

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Missoo, Here is a good video to explain a few things for you which are mostly in the second half of the video. To me Andy is a bit of a Rowen Atkinson of solar power. He is very funny and don't let his bumbling nature fool you as he gives himself away at times as being very intelligent.;) :)

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Hi again Missoo. Firstly stop worrying about the SOC shown on the BMS for the moment and lets get your battery sorted. Even if the SOC is showing 50% when it is at 95% the BMS isn’t going to use the SOC to regulate the maximum level of discharge as it uses voltage to do that. Here are a link...

My solar panels are not fully charging, Low power on Epever Tracer4215BN 430 W solar / 280Ah LifePO4

Ok firstly that one cell is way over and showing 3.951v. You need to discharge that cell quickly or you will destroy it If you haven’t already. Unless you have a means of discharging the one cell then you need to discharge your battery and get that cell below 3.65v. Looking back through your...

Hey, I'm mad and here to learn
