    letting go of solar set-up

My batteries finally died, i am not willing to replace them, since my setup wont run noting major like a fridge or ac. It only provides a backup for the living room and tv and internet. What would be a fair price to sell (4) 100watt panels and a Ep Ever 4325bn charge controller and a 24V...

    Solar/ battery

a 5000 BTU A/C will use about 450 watts constant and about 800 watts on start-up, 800 watts of solar panels will average about 600 watts or more a hour and that is enough to run the AC and still give the batteries enough to charge.

    Solar/ battery

i am in the process of gradually working to the point of running a 5,000 BTU AC during the day. It will take about 800 Watts of panels on a MPPT charger and about 200 amp hours of batteries. I am on a 24v system so if you are on a 12v system you would need more batteries, The inverter should be...

question about fuse size on aolar panel string

mc4 fuses will fit in the AGU fuse block. MC4 fuses and AGU fuses are the same length and diameter as each other. But a AGU fuse is rated at 12 Volts and the MC4 fuses has a 1000 VDC rating. Should i use the MC4 fuses? the 10 amp is what i understand,

Found this new Orion product on Victron Site.

this is cheaper than the smart dual battery isolater used in car audio and would work perfect for car amps and such. May give Victron another use for the product than RV and solar aplication

    LV5048, 4 renogy 300w panels and 8 Battleborn batteries...in de box!

i dont fasten to the roof it is a flat roof with side walls the help shield the panels from wind. The mount system is very heavy so i has not moved at all in a windy Missouri winter. I just used wood screws to fasten the panel brackets to the wood. Is will be very strong and heavy.
