Rebuilt box with everything contained

The multiplus II is amazing and powers both legs. But for me, the simplicity of a one box does it all was a big plus. I did add the Victron 48/12 converter to charge my “house” lead acid battery. If money was no object Victron is top notch. But I love my LV 6548!

Yes, the MPP LV 6548 has two separate charge controllers. So I have PV2 connected to the roof port which is wired 3s2p and provides 2100 watts. PV1 is connected to a pigtail. When I get to the lake, I pull the cord out and connect to the 4s panels on the patio and add 1400 watts.

That is what I was planning on doing when I'm there. The problem is when I am not there.

Argh... My LV 6548 needs at least 90 volts. MPPT range is 90-230. So i have a narrow window of 90-115...

I guess I’ll either take a panel off the patio, or ask him if we can put some panels on his camper….

I guess I cant just use the 4th panels as-is. What are my options? Hmm

My panels list a VMP of 38.9 with a VOC of 46.7, so a series of 4 would be VMP of 155.6 and VOC of 186.8 !! But that doesn’t jive with real world numbers I’m seeing on my MPP LV6548. PV1 Input is the 4s configuration on the patio. PV Input 2 is the 3s2p on my camper.

I have 16s 280ah battery that I built and put inservice over the summer in my RV. It works great! But now I want to rebuild my temporary battery box. I’d like the BMS wires to be a little longer. Does anyone have a source for a replacement BMS harness? Pictures are of my current set up.

After I typed that, I turned the system off and cleaned off a bunch of lint/dust off the two vents on the 6548. Don’t know if it helped or not, but now I’m charging at 20 amps? So the wattage doesn’t seem limited anymore.

System has been working great until yesterday…. My solar panels only seem to be charging my batteries at a max of 13 amps. Nothing has changed but the LV6548 won’t take in more solar watts than 13 amps. If I turn on the air conditioner, it starts taking in more watts! Batteries are not full and...

When using the WatchPower app, it always says that my battery is around 50%. Even when my battery is full as shown by the BMS, or the shunt. Both of those devices allow me to state my battery size.
