48v off grid system fuses and breakers

Do you think a 400a fuse for the 2 x batteries in parallel is overkill? Im thinking the inverter can’t even pull that amount and I should use a 250amp instead.

48v off grid system fuses and breakers

This is my system. I posted a while back but have updated with wire sizes. looking for critique and feedback. A couple things I’m reading into: 1) I’m reading mixed suggestions about fusing each battery bank, ANL v T-Class, which is the most suitable? 2) instead of fusing each 2s2p at combiner...

I have the full system with 32 x 230ah Lifepo4 cells that I’ll run in 2 banks to a Victron quattro 10kva inverter. I need to do a charge and top balance of the cells before I move and my question...

    Drilling CATL 100ah cells

I was top balancing a friends cells when I snapped off a welded stud. I didn’t think I was using excessive force as I’ve done A heap of these before and am always careful. What I did notice is that his home-made copper bus bars were crudely drilled and there were dags of metal left around the...

JiKong (JK) (Neey/Hankzor/HelTec/etc) Smart BMS with Active Balancer BT/Can/RS485 (Input Discussion pre-purchase)

Hi, can someone please confirm the latest 200a continuous model number? I’m getting mixed info from some suppliers. I’m looking for the latest model with ‘can’port and that can connect to the JK touch screen. I’m lead to believe the model is B2a24s20p-can however one supplier advised it’s...

    Another dishonest Alibaba supplier

Just my recent experience. Tewaycell store (Shenzhen Topway New Energy) are another one to avoid. I purchased 16 x 100ah CATL cells, as usual got the spiel about being grade A etc and they appeared legit. Cells arrived bloated, no QR code, top labels peeling off and side of every cell...

    100ah cells in parallel banks.

Hi, I’m after some advice on what is the best configuration for 48 x 100ah Lifepo4 cells. I’ve found a great deal on these cells and this size bank will be ideal for my system. I’m going for 100ah cells as I’d like the flexibility to pull off 16 for a smaller 48v bank if I need to in the future...
