    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

Now I have gathered a little more information. It must definitely be a firmware bug. It always occurs in the same way on different batteries with exact the same pattern. This means that it cannot be due to the cell itself or a bad contact. 1. it occurs about once a day 2. it is always cell no...

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

@Quattrohead Yes, I know that. The problem is that when the battery is still full (approx. 60%, approx. 3.3x volts per cell), it can happen that the SOC drops to approx. 10.7%. Without a heavy load. I'll see what the voltage of each cell will be when it fails. I'm logging the data now and after...

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

Because the SEPLOS software is so bad, I have developed my own dashboard for my 4 batteries. I read all the data from the 4 BMS every second and write it to a SQLite database. This allows me to analyze what happens when the SOC of the BMS flips around. I do my own SOC calculation in the...

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

I have built batteries with DALY BMS and JK-BMS. Both can detect currents below 1A without problems and perform very accurate measurements and calculation of the SOC... I have been using a 250A DALY BMS with RS-485 interface on my own DIY battery for 3.5 years. It works without any problems.

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

@houseofancients When I built the ELL battery, I saw that the wires for the voltage measurement are in a very bad condition. I replaced them all with 2.5mm flexible wire. Each screw is correctly tightened with the torque wrench and fixed with lacquer. This means, it can not be the problem in 2...

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

The cells are not the problem. They are all between the same cell voltage. Only 3-4mV difference. I have 4 packs in parallel and the problem is on 2 of them at the moment. The cells are also always balanced when the cell are over 3.40 volts with a Neey active 4A balancer to 2mV. I load the Pack...

    Seplos bms jumping SoC?

I have the same problem with 2 out of 4 packs in parallel with the same BMS. My cells are very well balanced. The SOC jumps from 95% to 10.7% within seconds, but the cell voltage is at 3.33 volts and the cell difference is only about 3mV. Is there any solution to resolve the Problem?

    Daly / Solis integration ?

@Chrislau Attached You will find the latest Version. Try also to remove the Battery on the M5stack on the bottom and use a good 5 Volt USB Power Supply. Perheaps it helps. Code is working well.

    Daly BMS cutting out randomly.

    1. Set the Sleep timer to 65535 . This is important. Otherwise, the DALY will sleep if no current flows after 3600 seconds. 2. Ask betty.chen@dalybms.com for a new Firmware for your hardware Version. I have a new one 31_221130_10ST, but its only tested on this 16S Hardware: BMS-ST103-309E ...

    Solis 5G-RHI-3.6-48ES Alarm

I have the same version. It is probably a bug in the firmware. For me, the error has only occurred since I have this firmware on it. I have user battery settings. There is a new firmware version out 3C002A . But I don't have the new version on my SOLIS yet, because the responsible support...

    Daly / Solis integration ?

The problem is that you always need a master if you have multiple BMS. This makes the project very complex. Commercial BMS with multiple batteries / BMS are very expensive. Does not make sense. It is better (and safer) to invest money in a new DIY LiFepo4.
  16. DiySolarU

    Daly / Solis integration ?

I see you are not using LiFepo4 cells. Then this is rather unsuitable.

    Daly / Solis integration ?

Hmm... Each BMS needs its own controller because no ID can be assigned in the BMS. But you can connect only one controller to the SOLSI Hybrid. What kind of cells do you have in the box? Are they prismatic cells? Maybe you need to rework your project if you want to achieve a reasonable...

    Daly / Solis integration ?

The hardware is very easy to install. The M5Stack COMMU module is required. There is a CAN port and an RS485 port if you want to connect to the DALY Smart BMS. Connect the RS485 to the DALY RS485 (RX--> TX, TX --> RX) and the CAN-L --> CAN-L, CAN-H --> CAN-H to SOLIS. That's it. The rest is...

    Fanless Noisless Quiet inverters

The SOLIS RHI 4.6 5G has two fans inside the case to distribute the heat inside the case. Outside is natural cooling... The case has no fan opening This is how the mainboard of the RHI 4.6 5G looks like. You can clearly see the two fans.

    Fanless Noisless Quiet inverters

The SOLIS Hybrid 5G has an internal fan that turns on when it processes a high load. The fan is then hearable, but not very loud.

    Solis 5G-RHI-3.6-48ES Alarm

Yes I have the same software version. I get this error message once every 2 or 3 weeks. Also very early in the morning (05:00h etc.) That means there is no PV, no big load. But this error message 186AF ... I think it is a fake error and not a real error. The error I see only since the firmware...

    Solis 5G-RHI-3.6-48ES Alarm

From time to time I also have this error message. It could be a problem in the firmware. With an older firmware I never had this message. Which software version does your SOLIS have?

    Daly / Solis integration ?

No. It's very simple... Plug and play. But you must be able to program the M5Stack (Arduino/ESP32). I wrote it for the SOLIS RHI 5G but it should work with any inverter that understands the Pylontech protocol. But I can not test this. I only have the SOLIS Hybrid inverter. You need to at least...

Attached You will find my DALY Smart BMS --> M5 Stack Converter --> SOLIS RHI 5G Software. It has been working for more than a year and a lot of people have built their DIY LiFepo4 battery with the DALY Smart BMS and SOLIS RHI with this M5Stack Converter.

Daly Smart BMS - odd behavior

@haluec Maybe you tried to load the wrong firmeware. Daly 4S is not the same hardware as Daly 8/16S. You need to contact Daly support to get the latest firmware for the 4S and try to load the firmware.

Daly Smart BMS - odd behavior

@CETBOR I would change the following: Reduce the charging and discharging current to a reasonable value. The Daly 150A BMS can handle a maximum of 75A when charging and 150A when discharging. If you have not measured the nominal capacity yourself, reduce it to 250Ah so that the SOC display...
