Victron dc to dc or IP65 charger?

Thanks so much! I never thought about the possibility that the truck inverter could be MSW and not pure. The dash switch says 400 watts on top but 150 on the bottom. I am going to head to Alaska in June and I do have 840 watts of solar on the roof charging 3 100ah Rebel lithium batteries. I...

Victron dc to dc or IP65 charger?

I am contemplating adding either a Victron 15 amp dc to dc battery charger or a Victron IP65 charger 15 amp to my existing RV setup. I have a Travel trailer I pull with a Nissan Titan that has a power outlet in the truck bed that can provide 400 watts of AC and is controlled by a dash switch...

    Is my wiring sound

Thank you! I actually trust and respect member input from this forum more than the Victron handbook.

    Is my wiring sound

I have referenced this ebook from Victron multiple times and it is helpful. I guess my question was that I was set to wire my battery bank "diagonally" like the first illustration on page 18 of the book explains (for a 4 battery bank) but I read in a post that using busbars like the 4th...

    Is my wiring sound

Ok, I am going to pull the newb card again..... How can I apply this to a 3 battery bank? I was planning on wiring my bank like your diagrams' "suitable for most applications" until I read a post somewhere saying that for 3 batteries you should be careful with battery cable lengths and...

    Is my wiring sound

Thanks for the explanation. I think I will get two 300 amp rated 4 post busbars and use exact same length wires for the battery to busbar connections and then 2 wires the same length for the busbar to inverter connections. (like the attachment). Would you recommend this strategy?

    Is my wiring sound

Hedges, (or anyone else) .....I need some newb clarification on your statement to "use 3 matched length cables on each positive/negative." I have attached a picture of my diagram of what I had planned for installing my 3 batteries and another diagram of what I believe you are suggesting to do...

    SOK Batteries for Van Application

https://rebelbatteries.com/product/lifepo4-12v-100ah-1280wh-bluetooth-enabled-rechargeable-lithium-iron-phosphate-battery-metal-case/ I too was waiting patiently on SOK to get some batteries in stock but I found the batteries in the above link and pulled the trigger on three of them. The 100ah...

Pulled The Trigger on a 100ah Battery

I watched Aric's tear down video and he says that they have a more capable BMS which allows these particular batteries to be used in series. I do not plan on wiring mine in series (at least yet) so I wasn't watching for that feature. I was concerned when you bought that up though because the...

Pulled The Trigger on a 100ah Battery

That thumbnail image you reference is for ReBel Battery's plastic encased battery. The same warning is not on the metal encased battery.

Pulled The Trigger on a 100ah Battery

The description from his website (below) says they can: - Is this wrong? Description The LiFePO4 12V 100 Ah battery is our metal-cased 100AH drop-in replacement for lead-acid batteries. These batteries have a longer service life, lighter weight, more efficient power, and all-around versatility...

Pulled The Trigger on a 100ah Battery

I just bought 3 ReBel 100ah steel cased batteries. From the teardown video on the Rebel Battery website they look very solid and well built. I emailed the owner (Aric) a couple of times with questions and he promptly answered with reasonable responses and suggestions for my particular install...
