    Seplos CAN BUS RS485 48v 200A 8S-16S BMS

I had a similar event and found a bad (intermittent) connection on one of the bms sense wires. I got lucky and happened to see the cell showing low voltage and upon wiggling the wire, found the bad connection. The sense wire had been extended to reach the terminal and I had done a poor...

Highest Production generated on cold Sunny days

5.925 kw system. Saw spikes past 6.5 kw Outside temp was ~ 30 F. Around 6 kw sustained. (spikes are only a minute or two.) My panels are mounted on carport roof, but are bi facial, so a combination of low temperature and cloud lensing + small bifacial gain. Kid

    JOLYWOOD 108 Cells N-type Bifacial - JW-HD108N-415W

Could be coincidence but, the ratio of your 108 to my 144 would be a ratio of 1.33. Multiply your voc by that and you will get a value right at 50volts. Could be that your cells are larger, but same voltage. (higher current capability) Looks like your short circuit current is about 1.33 times...

    JOLYWOOD 108 Cells N-type Bifacial - JW-HD108N-415W

I have JW-HT144P 395 watt and am very happy with them. The one you are looking at is double glass and mine are single. I would think the double glass would be better. (on both sides of panel) VS only on the top like mine. I have had mine installed for roughly 6 months and am quite happy with...

    Bifacial Panels, Unexpected bonus

We don't get much snow here in North Georgia, but got a little last night. When walking the dog I noticed that the array had a good inch or so of snow covering it. I thought that the temperature would have to warm up some to clear the panels so I would not be getting any production until later...

    3D printed Deye 5kw Hybrid Fan Unit - SUN-3.6/5/6K-SG03LP1-EU

How are you pulling that data to make the graph? I have SA but don't think it will do that. I can only see inverter temp in the charts section and it doesn't break it down to ac and dc. Kid

    3D printed Deye 5kw Hybrid Fan Unit - SUN-3.6/5/6K-SG03LP1-EU

Copec stated in another thread. So I guess if this is accurate you would need to monitor your inverter temps to see if additional cooling was indeed required to prevent exceeding the above range. Kid

Deye / Solark 8K Setup, Some photos an diagrams!

The breakers are for safety/convenience. The main house panel and critical loads panel are 65 feet away. I have not noticed any swelling. My cells are Eve 304 amp\hr from Amy at Docan. Shipped from the Houston warehouse last year. Kid

Deye / Solark 8K Setup, Some photos an diagrams!

Using Seplos 200amp. They seem to work well and the displays are nice. Mine are from a mfg run last year that had some bad diodes that could fail prematurely. But each bms rarely sees more than 80 amps. I am hoping they will be fine. Kid

Deye / Solark 8K Setup, Some photos an diagrams!

Using Solar Assistant. I can only see total battery voltage. The individual cell voltages never showed on the bms page in the Deye menu. Only total voltage and temperature. But while I was there I checked the battery states with the Seplos displays and everything was staying in sync...

Well, inverter ended up in new utility room. I took note of what copec said regarding the unit trying to maintain a certain temperature range to lengthen component life. I am choosing not to try to add any fans for the time being. The rockwool insulation keeps the room very quiet and you can...

    Deye 8kW specifications

Maximum AC current passthrough for the inverter is still 50Amps. If you need more you have to use a subpanel so you can pick which loads are backed up by the Deye and which will go off when the grid goes down. Kid

    Deye 8kW specifications

I used a Reliance Pro Tran 510C for my sub panel. (it is a manual transfer switch for a generator) But you are on single phase it seems so you will have to find a different product. I only have 10 circuits that are on the load output of the Deye 8K. (via the 510C) Those loads are what I...

    Deye 8kW specifications

@dddem This is an 8000 watt inverter. Expecting more than 50 amps continuous out of it is a bad idea. Unless your possible whole house loads are less than or equal to that 8000 watts, you need a sub panel with the critical loads attached to the load output of the Deye. Have you done a basic...

    Deye 8kW specifications

When in zero export to ct mode and grid power goes down, only things attached to the load circuit are powered. When the grid is up and the batteries charged, (depending on load priority check box) the excess solar will flow to the rest of the house to reduce grid consumption. If you configure...

I finally got to test the possible replacement fan. (Noctua NF-A8 ULN) The Noctua is silent compared to the ambient noise while the stock fan produces a very high pitched loud whine. Note that the 3 pin connectors have different pin outs, so that has to be changed should anyone do the fan...

    Thermocouple interference

What I meant for NPLC is (number of power line cycles). It is the integration time based on line frequency. Since you don't require fast scanning, 50 - 100 would allow more time to for the integration of each measurement, providing a better measurement. 10 PLC is 1/6 of a second at 60 hz. I...

    Thermocouple interference

The em field of the heater may be contributing as well to your percieved noise problem. Also 10 power line cycles is rather short for this measurement. Try increasing to at least 50 NPLC. Kid

    Thermocouple interference

A logging TC/mV scanner would be helpful, but might be cost prohibitive. A cheap one from omega with 8 channels is ~ 500 bucks. Could you not read your TC's with the 34970 and attach your CT coil to the 3456A? I seem to remember you can define channels on the 34970 as temperature and TC type. Kid

    Thermocouple interference

Also the cold junction compensation of a 34970 card is not very good. (just a thermistor) But sufficient for relative measurements between several TC's. Can you lengthen the integration time for the 34970? BTW, nice instrumentation for a home lab. Kid
