    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

I use two bench power suppy as I linked in #42, one set to pack voltage (start at 55V) and one I rotate to the low cells till all cells are at 3.550 then I let the BMS do its job, I can get a pack balance in 24 hours, I think thats a better invesment than a chargverter

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

BMS does not need current to balance, passive balancer will bleed off current from the high cells, thats all that is happening I'm not sure how much balance current these BMS have but do some math, if the high cell is 5 ah (5000 mAh) fuller than the low cell and BMS is maybe 150 mA - 5000/150...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

Ok looks like you can sit at 55v keep it there for as long as you can stand. correct Current doesnt "need" to be flowing. correct The only thing that matters is that the balancing is working. THIS! Does it balance without charging? Or does it stop as soon as its in float? Balance will continue...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

Like Scrotus said, set the voltage and leave it for several days, balance current on these BMS is weak. you might be able to move up 0.1 volt every other day once you get the delta down in the 0.030 - 0.020 V range but until then nothing you can change will help. goal is to have balance on and...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

Well, you can leave the setting as adjusted by SigSolar and cells will eventually balance. (You will be bald by then) lowering the current will not slow the charge as the runner cells will over voltage protect (OVP) because even 2 amps at 56.4 V will push runner cells up, lower charge voltage...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

so on the 6000XP you are adjusting current at setting #6? or in monitor.eg4electronics.com at maintenance tab for charge settings, what is the "charge voltage (V)" right below "charge current limit(Adc) set to? this is where you can set voltage to stop from hitting "overvoltage protection" if...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

As ScrousGB said, you need to see delta while charging at 3.48/cell and above. your cells are way out of balance and need to be held at balance voltage but below protection voltage for some time. The BMS in the Lifepower4 pack does not have much balance current, it took me a week of charging...

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

This was at end of the charge? cell delta at 53 volts is easy to get down, what is delta at 55 pack voltage? you are charging with a chargeverter? the cell voltage has to get high enuf to hit balance

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

SOC will be way out of wack till you get the cell delta down, I have 14 of the lifep04, in three batches, I just open them up and balance manually, all 14 are at 0.007 - 0.009 delta at 55.4 volts where I stop CV

    Weird issue with 6000XP 🤷‍♂️

CV setting on the 6000XP is too high (default is 56.4), I would leave it on lead and drop CV setting (#7) down till you don't get overvoltage protection and allow BMS to balance until cell deltas get lower, whats up with pack 1 total voltage is 1 volt less than the other 3?

    Outback Radian 8048 Part Needed

Hello Brightside, thanks for picture. I was able to order 221 ohm resister and installed at R19. However, no love. when I energized the 8048 R19 heated up,smoked and the solder melted dropping the resister of the board so I'm guessing there is more to the Radian R19 story than I want to follow...

    Outback Radian 8048 Part Needed

Hello @SparkyJJO Just wondering if you were able to see the part number for the resistor R19? My 8048 has the same issue and I was able to look at a 4048A power board to see R19 on that board is a 2210, not sure if I want to proceed based on that info but hey, the 8048 is not working now so...

Growatt SPF 12000 DVM and EG4 LiFePower4 - Settings, Troubleshooting, Questions

I don't think you have enough battery for a 12000T, I have 2 Growatt, 6000T and 12000T. At first the 6000T was on 2 LifePower4 batteries and would fault when starting a heavy load, added another battery and no more problems. currently have 4 Lifepower4 on that system and starts 1.5 HP well pump...

I'm not losing sleep over SOH from these, just makes me wonder why the difference? my packs get charged to balance voltage most every day (setting on SCC is 55.6 to absorb) that pack is usually less than 0.01 delta at full charge edit: currently 0.027 delta during balance

I have 4 of the EG4 lifepower and here is my observation over the last year: notice the different cycle count, two different purchases of 3 and 1 batteries. I am watching the 63 cycle battery drop 0.1 % every month. It was at 99.7 SOH when I put it in service. I would be happy to see 0.3 over...
