I just sold them today; best of luck finding some other panels though.

Understandable, that's too far to drive. Good luck finding some panels though.

They were supposed to be snail trails but they had very little trails on them. If you change your mind on the drive they are still available. I'm in Berkeley Springs, WV to give you a better idea of where I am.

    Off Grid King confusion?

I would create a new thread saying what you need help with. It would probably get a lot more attention.

best 400w solar panel to buy to go with my delta pro 3600

Assuming you're using this solar generator: https://iscsales.com/item/ecoflow-delta-pro-solar-portable-home-battery-3600w-7200w-surge/ ecoflow unit that will work just fine. If that's not what you're using if you link it I'll do the calculations to make sure the VOC doesn't get too high.

    LV2424 Stopped working

The only load should have been the inverter but I'm nearly certain that it was off when I think back to it. Assuming it was on it was the only load, The batteries were bought last December and used for about 35days before I left that place in January. The whole time for months they were fully...

    LV2424 Stopped working

Alright, I tested it today and there was no difference in voltage when I turned on and off the inverter. However the brand new batteries I got voltage reads at 12.88 volts while the 2 I have connected to my LV2424 ready 3.8volts~ Looks like somehow the inverter was left on and killed them. How...

Alright, I'll give that a try tomorrow and tell you what I get.

    LV2424 Stopped working

Hello so I've been away from my solar setup for a bit now but I left everything running and every month or so I would check on it. About a week ago when I went to check it I noticed the screen was off on my MPP LV2424, I couldn't get the screen to turn on, nor the inverter. The most I...

Ecoflow Delta Pro w/3rd Party Panel Question

It's actually the opposite, the lower the temperature the higher the VOC gets. Hense why if they wanted to do 3 panels it would have to be above 41 degrees.

Please help me understand solar system.

That's Will's website I linked so as far as I know, he has no real affiliation with MPP and those are just the 3 he put up there. I do wish on that page he would show off some of the Growatts or Victrons though as they are all pretty good.

Please help me understand solar system.

It sounds like an all-in-one would suit your needs the best but you still might be able to make that inverter work. You can check out some all-in-ones here: https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/all-in-one-122448v-packages.html I would have a wander around the website it's full of useful info...

Your Thoughts on SunTech Power STP270-24/Vb-1 Used Panels

To be honest I know little about MC3 connectors other than they are worse than MC4. When I looked up the panel (assuming you're referencing the SunTech one) it said they had MC4 connectors but the ones you're looking at might be different. If you can send me a pic of the connectors I can tell...

Ecoflow Delta Pro w/3rd Party Panel Question

Where did you measure it with the multimeter? You should check right before the Ecoflow to make sure that the issue isn't in a connection before that.

Ecoflow Delta Pro w/3rd Party Panel Question

Those panels should work fine assuming you have 2. It's likely a bad connection somewhere.

General question on panel installation / labor time.

Ah, that explains the everything. I knew it wasn't off-grid only, thank you for the response.

General question on panel installation / labor time.

Well that's odd because it is. It has an AC input and output (the input being where you connect it to the grid) it even says in the description that is has "AC/Solar charger priority" Hell in the manual it shows that it can be connected to the grid...

How to oversize the solar panel array so you don't wreck the system?

That certainly clears a lot up for me and It all makes a lot more sense. I didn't realize OP linked the actual panels so I just left the temperature coefficient Voc at 0.33 to be safe but yeah 13ºF is the correct answer. Thank you for being so helpful I aspire to be as knowledgeable as you!

How to oversize the solar panel array so you don't wreck the system?

Okay so with the voltage you have to stay under the max VOC, going over it is how you destroy it. For both of your examples, you would be flying too close to the sun with that VOC as the lower the temperature the higher your VOC goes. In your examples, if it ever got to 25 degrees it would...

    Using multiple charge controllers

What a fantastic explanation thank you!

    Using multiple charge controllers

Yes, I'll be using a bus bar so that will make it much easier. I forgot how to calculate fuse sizes do you have a link to a fuse calculator? If it helps I'll be using 4, 200ah gel batteries and a 40 amp charge controller. I was also planning to use 8 AWG wire since I think that's the lowest my...

Okay, so would I just hook up the separate charge controller directly to the batteries? I want to make sure before I do something really stupid.

    Using multiple charge controllers

Hello everyone! I have 9, 250-watt used panels from Santan solar and 6, 100-watt solar panels and I wanted to use all of them. I was planning on getting a separate charge controller and hooking it up to the same battery bank. Would I just hook it up like normal straight to the batteries and just...

General question on panel installation / labor time.

Yeah I mean my dad does painting and all sorts of specialist home improvement work for $300 a day. I figure that since it's solar and more specialized + a helper that $600 was about right. Again I'm not certain as I've never had someone do it. As for the EG4 yes it's a hybrid and can work just...

    Impact Wire Crimp?

So I believe you're referring to this: https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-Electric-Tools-2553-22-Impact/dp/B077ZZ5D58/ but to see all the tools Will uses you can check here: https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/tools.html there's a whole bunch of crimpers there.

    Inverter/controller Voltage discrepancies

General question on panel installation / labor time.

Upon thinking about it more my dad does very similar work and seeing how you would have all the parts I don't see it costing you more than $600 for just 2 people for a day. But this will seriously depend on who you hire and where you live.
  31. S

General question on panel installation / labor time.

Hello, I'm not sure how much it would cost you to get those panels installed but for your second question, EG4 makes a similar all-in-one with pretty much the same features and more for $700 cheaper. A lot of people on the forum have them as well...

problem programing renogy 40A for my system

Yeah, 13.2 volts isn't fully charged, you should be seeing closer to 14.3 volts. You're probably using more power than you're bringing in. So again how much solar power do you bring in on a sunny day, and how much power are you using? The only thing off about your components is the " Thunderbolt...

problem programing renogy 40A for my system

The batteries shut down at 11 volts because they are fully discharged and have no more power to give, it's not a great idea to keep discharging them like this as it will shorten their lifespan. 400 ah at 12 volts is 4800 watt-hours, this should be plenty of power to run a fan assuming you are...

solar cable length vs extension cable length?

I agree, the EcoFlow River Pro has a max input voltage of just 25volts DC, 120 volts ac will have much less drop in power.

    Off Grid King confusion?

I'm genuinely curious as to why anyone would need 2X 40amp charge controllers for just 800 watts of solar panels it seems very overkill. It might be better for you to follow one of his guides on all-in-one systems as they're a lot simpler and are cheaper...
