Replacement BMS for a SOK battery

Well, I have 6 of the 12V 206Ah batteries (configured for 24 Volt), and I'm happy with them. I purchased mine thru Current Connected, and they are an SOK service center, but, but I think they will only warranty batteries purchased thru them (don't quote me on that, but I believe that's what I...

What happens (when/if) one MultiPlus in a parallel system fails?

Well there is precious little in that manual to answer the question... and I have a couple of those manuals in paper form. One might derive from the table on error codes for VE.Bus systems that the system might continue to operate just in a degraded mode... looks like it's even possible the...

What happens (when/if) one MultiPlus in a parallel system fails?

So for those who helped me along on my journey thanks very much... My two MultiPlus 24/3000/70-50's are now running in Parallel quiet happily, and I must say I am very pleased thus far compared to what I was doing previously: Feeding one Multiplus with the output of a non-victron inverter and...

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

Yeah, I have been doing that throughout the evening, and it seems almost perfect... well as perfect as a fluke meter will tell you. .1 amp resolution, and probably not .1 amp accuracy. But it's the best I have at the moment.

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

Well that's a bummer, seems like they could find a way to display what each is contributing. Guess I could go spend money, and install energy monitors around each leg in the panel... have to see how bad I want the data... maybe it will be a future enhancement.

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

OK, so what's the magic... I have this up and running, and in theory both inverters are providing output (lights indicate one is master, one is slave)... but in VRM is just says AC Loads and just shows the total load... so split out for L1, L2.

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

In the end I decided to opt for Parallel... and I have that up and running... if I could now figure out how to "see" the output from each inverter... the Cerbo just shows "output"... no Line1, Line2... digging around, but would accept help. :) Very interested in making sure the output is...

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

Yes, I'm on board with that... unfortunately. However, 4,800 watts meets my needs at least for now, but thanks for checking, would not want to burn something over by trying to pull 6,000 watts.

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

Doco, and the reseller both say it does. I have the original MultiPlus... not the "updated" MultiPlus II that people are finding some models no longer support Parallel... But it's looking like I'll probably switch to Split Phase anyway, it would seem to offer more utility.

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

You just power one pole of the panel with the output from each inverter... your inverters obviously have to support this, and have a way to keep each leg 180 degrees out of phase from the other. Victron MultiPlus and Quatro Inverters support both Parallel, and Split Phase installs. One just...

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. I will read the document Quattrohead linked... and I'll probably do a bit of testing before I throw the switch on $3K worth of inverters. Assuming I can satisfy myself that I can balance the legs otherwise (240V loads are obviously self balancing), I'll...

    Electrical theory 120 vs 240

OK... so I'm struggling with this. I have two Victron 24/3000/70-50 inverters. Trying to decide how to connect them (series or parallel). I have some 240V appliances I could power, but there are things I don't know. If for instance I have a 2,400 watt heating element (water heater), is that...

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

Does this work with one Cerbo GX device... how does that look on the Cerbo?

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

I'm on base with that... thanks for your help.

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

This is more or less what I had in mind, just wasn't sure if this was best practice.

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

I have that book, and have reviewed it several times... , just not seeing anything specifically on this

AC wiring for two Victron MultiPlus in Parallel

I have two Victron Multiplus 24/3000/70-50 120 inverters, planning to run them in parallel Mode (connected with Cat5/6 cable, and set up for Parallel operation). The manual shows bonding the two L1's, N's, and Grounds together then out to the load. What is the most appropriate way of doing...

    Giandel 3000/24 Open Ground Hack...

I've been lurking on several of these threads for a while, have a similar issue where a GFCI tester shows "Open Ground"... I'm doing something maybe a little shall we say unorthodox... I recently (finally) saved up enough to buy a Victron Multiplus 24/3000, I have been running for some time on...

How to operate the AIMS power con120ac1224vdc

I pondered this for a while before purchasing this unit, but in the end... it's a great charger, offers lots of flexibility 12 and 24 volt, and you can charge Lead Acid Batteries if needed... it's a great tool to have in the toolbox. Long term I plan to run a MultiPlus inverter charger, but I...
