Amphenol RADLOK Battery Connectors compatible with Phoenix Battery Connectors

I am trying to figure out if a Pylontech battery kit with female Radlok connectors will fit onto a 48v Lithium battery with Phoenix male connectors. Does anyone know if a Female Amphenol Radlok connector will mate with a Phoenix Male battery connector both of 120 amp size rating. They appear to...

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

Update. New panels installed and system working again. 1423 Watts and 176 volts. I still have room for 1 additional panel which should raise the voltage slightly. Last few days have been around 9KWH per day production. Thanks for all of your advice, much appreciated.

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

Hi Hedges, thanks for all your advice, its much appreciated. As I am replacing existing panels, I can only use existing orientation with 1 string to keep it simple. I may go with an extra panel after I examine the output. I will post my results when finished. One other question: Due to the age...

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

The CSUN panel is 5.21A compared to the old Suntech 5.2A. I am not sure where the panel was as it was removed before testing. But I can tell you there were 2 strings in parallel which was a surprise. I would have thought that the string without a faulty panel would continue to work as normal...

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

The panels I planned to use as replacements are not suitable due to voltage limitations of the inverter. I have found the faulty panel which was reading only (5v). I have a CSUN panel I can use that has the same specs as the old Suntech Panels. I will re-install the panels and check the results.

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies. The Utility contract says to replace "like for like". I have new old stock of 225 watt panels I will use to replace the old 190w. I am removing the old panels today, so we will see what the result is. Thanks again for your advice.

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

Hi, thanks for the info. I disconnected the DC cables into the inverter and checked the voltage and it was 170V. When you say Open Circuit Voltage > 400, do you mean if the panels were working correctly it would be >400v and not 170. I have some new old stock panels I may just replace them all...

Sunny Boy SB1700 Waiting Fault (170 VDC)

Hi, i have a Sunny Boy SB1700 Grid Inverter approx 12 years old. (Installed 2011) It has 10 x Suntech STP190s Solar Panels. The inverter is displaying a fault saying "Waiting". I noticed the input DC voltage at the inverter is 170VDC. (Confirmed with a multi meter) The specs on the panels say...

Automatic 4 Pole Changeover Switch Variation to standard

Hi guys, I would like your thoughts on this wiring diagram for a changeover switch. Instead of changing 3 live and 1 Neutral, can it be configured to change 2 live and 2 neutral wires to run 2 appliances. There is no continuity between poles. Its just an idea I had to run 2 air-conditioners from...

    DEYE (Request Force Charge).

Hi, anybody familiar with this BMS command. I have 2 Lithium batteries in parallel and on the inverter BMS display it says Request Force Charge on 1 battery. Can someone advise what this means. I noticed 1 battery has slightly different voltage than the other one. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

DEYE String Inverter Settings when AC Coupled.

Hi, anyone know what settings need to be changed / adjusted on the DEYE String Inverters when AC Coupling via the GEN Port. The manual isn't very good at explaining things. My main concern is the "RUNNING PARAMETERS" in the user manual page 35 (3.6kw SUN-3.6-G04-AU). My problem so far is the...

Parallel Lithium battery banks going into Hibernation mode.

Thanks for your advise I will give it a try. I have been advised by the dealer the overnight discharge of 100 watts was causing 1 battery to go into hibernation which makes sense. I have connected additional cycling load to run overnight and it seems fine so far. I will continue to monitor...

Parallel Lithium battery banks going into Hibernation mode.

The DC breakers are in-line on both positives. No loose connections anywhere. Battery Voltages in Morning: Load over night: 80 watts (50 watts inverter, 30 watts consumption load). Additional info: I noticed on the Solarman app, batteries are at different SOC 89% and 85% throughout the night...

Parallel Lithium battery banks going into Hibernation mode.

I have adjusted the battery cable length. After 1 day the Master battery is still going into hibernation mode. I am waiting on a response from the dealer. Do the batteries need to be fully charged and the same voltage before switching on.

Parallel Lithium battery banks going into Hibernation mode.

Yes they have been fully charged as they have been in operation for around 8 months. I am going to even up the battery cables. Although the positive and negative cables are of different lengths due to batteries being mounted vertical on wall. I will adjust all positive and all negatives to be...

Not sure I understand your response. Do you mean removing the busbars. Can you draw a diagram if possible. The busbars were used to connect multiple batteries. I will address the cable length issue.

Deye 12k with Frequency Shifting with AC Coupling

Hi I am trying to AC couple a DEYE Grid Inverter to the DEYE Hybrid 5kw inverter for additional production in winter. Can you advise if I need a CT (current transformer) in the circuit somewhere. It will only be used fully off grid. Thanks.

Parallel Lithium battery banks going into Hibernation mode.

The Inverter is connected to a common busbar and each battery is connected in parallel to the busbar. See image below. Batteries are connected in parallel with comms cable and Inverter is connected with CAN cable. Batteries are set up as Master and Slave. The Master is going into Hibernation Mode.

Microinverters to suit 140 cell Panels. (DEYE, BENY etc)

Hi, I have decided to go with a grid tie inverter on the Gen port as a secondary input to boost power in late afternoon. It works out much cheaper than microinverters ang grater capacity and I don't really need individual panel monitoring.

DEYE String Inverter AC coupled with Deye Hybrid Inverter 5kw (GEN Port)

Can anyone advise if the Deye String inverter can be AC coupled from the GEN side without the GRID connected to the Hybrid. I assume the Hybrid will sync to the String inverter instead of the GRID. Please correct me if I am wrong. (Micro Inv Input: To use the Generator input port as a...

Microinverters to suit 140 cell Panels. (DEYE, BENY etc)

Hi thanks for your info. As Deye microinverters arnt available in Aust I have gone with the Deye String Inverter 3.6 kw. Much better value for money with heaps more capacity.

Microinverters to suit 140 cell Panels. (DEYE, BENY etc)

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think they would be compatible. I am going to AC couple the Deye string inverter and use it on the gen port for additional supply instead of Microinverters as they arnt available in Australia according to Deye and the String Inverter works out much cheaper.

DEYE Charge and Float Voltages in Lead Acid Mode.

I just noticed the cell voltage is adjustable via BMS software. It's currently 3.8 volts per cell X 15 =57 volts. I will adjust to 3.6 volts to get 54 volts and see if it changes. Not sure where to find the current limit settings. Thanks for all your help.
