Curious... why do I need an 80-100amp fuse from the batteries to the scc, when the scc is only converting 20-25 amps from my panels? How am I supposed to run 2ga from an scc that only takes up to an 8ga... so confused

Can I use breakers instead of fuses?

Do i need to put a fuse between the scc and the batteries? how do I know which size fuse to use?

I have not yet, but I can say I am very disappointed in the Renogy 2000w inverter/charger I got. It lasted about a month and only used it maybe 4 times before it stopped charging or letting pass through shore power.

what is .5C? Battery specs are 31dcm. 550cca, 185 min rc, 100ah. I’m curious about the lights due to using 1st these batteries sat and sun and only use like .5v. Went from 13 to 12v this past weekend with the inverter and no additional draws.

This is the main thing I was questioning. If the contacts on the inverter connect it. It will be connected permanently until the inverter disconnects it. My concern was the button on the generator is momentary but the contacts on the inverter I would think are continuous until they disconnect...

Wouldn’t the relays in the inverter do that? The inverter is a Renogy 2000w inverter charger with auto gen start contacts.

It’s an electric start Westinghouse igen4500 inverter generator with remote starter. Auto choke. Push the button on the generator once and it starts. Push it again and it stops.

Please explain what you mean by “too much missing”. I’m asking if I can connect the dry contacts on my inverter directly to the start/stop switch wiring?

Start module as in an auto gen start module like the Magnum ME-AGS.
