    Eco-Worthy 12v 280Ah

Sorry for the delay here, I was moving into a new home. Just finished testing the remaining two batteries, I got 287 and 290 ah. Inverter disconnect and not BMS disconnect at 10.5v @ 0.25 to 0.3C discharge rate. Battery #1 287ah Battery #2 288ah Battery #3 287ah Battery #4 290ah These...

Is there a charger that will do everything?

I ended up buying this: It shoud convert maximum of 100v AC into 141.4 DC upto 1200 watts. I'll use my transformer to step down the AC voltage to 70V and should get a smoothish 98.98 v DC to match my all in one. Great link by the way!

Is there a charger that will do everything?

Would you know to purchase to match the parameters? I have a standard bridge rectifier ordered and would want something able to be mated easily verses soldering anything. I will test anything you suggest, or if you like me and don't know what to buy to meet the needs of the smoothing out the...

Amazon cheap LFP - Multiple names - No BMS!

Listing from Amazon, old name LFPUCH and the new one is PMP01. They ship the two randomly. There are a few others with very simular listings, however I don't know for sure if it's the same no BMS issue as these.

Amazon cheap LFP - Multiple names - No BMS!

I purchased two LFP batteries at random on amazon, mostly curious to why it was so cheap? Both "100 ah" checked out around 65 ah on my bench test with an inverter with low voltage disconnect at 10.50v. I ran a redundant test using a DC battery tester and got 75 ah, this time with the batteries...

Is there a charger that will do everything?

I am planning on using a variable AC transformer that will take input of 120v AC and can transform to a range of 0 to 130 AC, this will feed a full bridge rectifier so I can vary the DC voltage peak once rectified. I will try unfiltered rectified AC into a 100v 60A MPPT in one of my all in one...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Thank you for the input here, I would have assumed it was the cells for sometime. My JK BMS is limited to 1 amp unfortunately. It’s undersized for my pack however happy to have controllable active balancing versus only passive. Note: I am top balancing the pack again, so disregard the huge...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Bingo! I checked over the sense wires and noted some deficiencies in my work. I didn’t strip some wires enough for the WAGO type connector I used. Enough to make connection however not all strands of the wire, good thing my active balancing was one 1 amp! The voltages remained the same, just the...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Great idea on the adding the active balancer while using the original BMS. Seeing the recent price reduction in LFP batteries is astonishing, its hard to invest the money to swap out all BMS's for added value.

    Eco-Worthy 12v 280Ah

I have four of these 280ah from Eco Worthy. I've tested two so far and they exceeded the 280ah, tested at 287ah and 288ah. I am testing the other two very soon as there are a month in-between purchases. Do you have any pictures of the internal build quality?

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Happy to see you were able to get all cells to their upper limit. I needed to keep my pack on charge to get the active balancer to top balance due to LFP’s shallow voltage curve. It took a long time with my BMS balancing current of only 1 amp. Did you perform a capacity test? I was able to get...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

The resistance is still all over the place with my pack, however I am able to pull full capacity. Here is how they look today, see attached image.

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Amazing! My batteries weren’t an outlier this means. I also would like to know what is causing this? I believe there is something wonky with the original BMS with this consistency of cell's 1-3 being very tight while cell 4 being high. If you tested all four of your batteries, this would be...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Very interesting! One good and one bad, that I’m sure will become two bad overtime. The internal cells have been good in my experience, so that’s an additional 340ah once fitted with a new BMS. Do you still plan on tearing town and retrofitting the JK BMS?

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

I’m surprised they will let you keep the old ones while providing replacements! Good to hear! I think your BMS choice is great! The existing negative eye terminals should bolt up nicely on the BMS, all you need to do is double them up on both sides. This BMS choice is more practical for people...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Thank you for the acknowledgement! I myself searched this forum, and other sites like YouTube to find an answer. I am hopeful that everyone who is invested or interested in these batteries see my findings. I believe many of these 170ah batteries have the same issue and could be discarded as...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

Have you ever seen a pack do this? This was the worst of the four 170ah Renogy batteries I had. I was able to use the pack in the past without issues, the battery sat for a few months and than it locked all charge and discharge fuctions due to the exterme low and high values. I am unable to...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

To be honest I didn't try to work with the orginal BMS using constant voltage methods. I found it very strange it would have 3 cells completly discharged at 2.5v and the 4th cell overvoltage at 3.8? How would soemthing like that occur by having the pack sit for a period of time like I did, the...

    Problems with renogy 170ah batteries

I had four Renogy 170ah batteries in parallel in my camper, I noticed my inverter shut down prematurely on a trip during a deep discharge, and my shunt stated I discharged 240ah out of the 680ah total, or only 35% capacity. The batteries displayed all the characteristics of imbalanced cells and...
