I want to mount it flat on the roof. The motorized tilting is apparently unnecessary now that there are more satellites. Will probably modify power supply to run on dc and save the inverter loss.

I miss the Iridium satellites. I had an app on my phone that would alert me to Irridium flares. Spent more than a decade logging hundreds of them!

I’m running the insulated copper tubes from the mini split compressor along the top of my rv roof. Anybody know of a good watertight way of going through the roof into the rv? Anything like a solar cable entry gland that can handle 1 inch openings?

Ok. So say I hook up 3 450 watt panels in parallel, voltage stays at 40, amps triple to 36. When hooked up to my 24 v system am I looking at an 80 amp controller?

I’m confused on this. I want to use a 450 watt panel that puts out 40 volts and 11 amps. When I use this on my 24v system will the controller halve the input voltage and double the amperage? Meaning do I need a 22 amp controller? Or is the input ratings on charge controllers independent from...

Im looking for a solution like this. I want to run a 240 volt mini split as well as some 120 v appliances. I also want a shore line power to charge 24v battery bank. Is it possible to have 120 v shore power coming in while inverter is outputting 240 v?
