I really appreciate everyone's help. When I say budget I'm fine starting with a system less than $10k system. I was thinking of getting the system Will did a video on a few months ago but with only 1 inverter:
The question I have is how many Lipo batteries do I need and solar panels watts? Here...
I'm looking for a starter system to power my home server. It uses 100watts and runs 24/7. Is there a budget design with batteries someone can suggest that I could start with and grow as needed? I've watched some of Will's videos but they all seem oversized for a starter system.
I can buy unused 2yr old Heliene 72M-370 370w panels for $175 each locally. Is that a good deal? I've seen some cheaper panels on santan solar but I'd have to add shipping and risk of damage.
Which panels would you suggest? Building a 48v off grid system and don't know if paying extra for the 370w with local pickup is worth the cost long term.
New 15 x Heliene 370w ($175/panel local pickup) = $2625.00
Used 15 x SanTan Solar 250w ($69/Panel + $350 Shipping) = $1385
Point well taken on the high voltage. I went with the 48v because of the number of hours it would run vs the 24v. I'm definitely not an electrician. Youtube makes it sound so easy. I'm a very cautious person when it comes to these things. I have a friend who's an electrician that I plan on...
So I'm completely new to this and this is my first solar build. I know I'm probably missing a bunch of things and that's where I'm looking for help. I am going to be powering my tiny home. I have normal appliances and will also be running a video survilance system and server 24/7.
1 x EG4 3kW...
I can buy some used Heliene 370W panels. Are Heliene panels any good? I don't see much information out there about Heliene in regards to quality, efficency, etc. What would be fair offer for a panel like this in good condition?
The title says it all. I am just starting with solar and have no idea where to start. I would like to do some off grid solar power for my garage and was talking to a friend of mine and he's got some slightly used 375w mono panels for sale at $195 each. I also came across some used 250w poly...
