    36v 48ah 1.78kWh SPIM08HP POWER Module

Why not get a 36V charge controller and inverter? There are plenty of options out there for them. Looks to me a lot more simple than toying around with those batteries.

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 So you haven't had the chance to verify if it was shown using v1.16? I might not care at all about that setting anyway. I read that closed-loop communications is only possible using an XW Pro. I'll likely use my Raspberry PI to read settings from the JK BMS and perform some actions on my...

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 LMK if it's better with v1.16 and LMK what's your configured battery for your XW+. Thanks!

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

No I haven't tried v1.17 - I'm curious if that setting appeared in v1.17 or if it appears when you select the Li-Ion battery type from the XW+ settings. I guess I'll know more when I start messing around things when I build the new battery - but it'll only be in a few weeks from now.

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

I guess it's because your battery type in your XW+ settings is Li-Ion? Mine is still set to "custom" (I am still using my FLA batteries, soon to be replaced with customer LiFePO4 build).

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 Out of curiosity, with v1.17, do you see BMS settings when you go in Devices, under "Other Devices"? I see nothing on my end with v1.16.

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 I've just called Schneider. They said that when using an XW+, we should stick with v1.14 of the InsightHome gateway. Mine came with v1.16 and I haven't experienced issues - although I haven't tried to perform any configuration changes on my XW+ from the InsightHome. Schneider told me...

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 Was it on InsightHome v1.14..16 or an higher version? I upgraded my XW+ to 2.07.00bn4 from a Combox many months ago but as mentioned in an other thread, Schneider does not recommend upgrading the InsightHome after v1.16. I'll call them this week to know a bit more because I would be...

Recovering bricked / bootloader schneider context XW inverter with InsightHome

@hwy17 How did you brick your XW+ and what sort of Xanbus issues were you having? I'm curious because I also have a XW+ with an InsightHome (running v1.16). Thanks!

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

@hwy7 From the release notes it only mentions that starting v1.17 it isn't recommend to upgrade so at least you should be fine with v1.16. I'm running that version and all is good. On a side note, anyone thinking that putting those Operating / Standby buttons on the Devices screen is plain...

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

I'm also fully off-grid with a XW+ and the reason I am interested in upgrading or keeping up with batteries is the potential support/integration with the new JK Inverter BMS.

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

@hwy17 Thanks! Looks like you are using an unreleased version since the latest available from the Schneider website is v1.18-bn41!

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

Yep, when you have a moment, if you don't mind let me know which version you use. It looks like they added a warning on XW+ usage in v1.17 and v1.18 - maybe they'll remove it in an upcoming version 🤷‍♂️

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

@dougbert I think the InsightHome gateway is more the successor of the Combox. The literature of the InsightHome gateway lists the XW+ as a Xanbus-supported devices. I basically replaced by Combox (but still have it) so that I would have access again to InsightCloud. It used to work with the...

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

@hogback Thanks for your answer. As for the JK BMS inverter features, unsure yet - I haven't investigated in details what could be done. Ideally, SOC to adjust my AGS's start/stop SOC levels.

    Conext XW+6848 and Gateway v1.17

Hello, I'm using a Conext XW+6848 (latest firmware at 2.07.00bn4) and I recently replaced my Combox with a InsightHome gateway which is running firmware v1.16b4. I'm looking at upgrading the InsightHome firmware to v1.17b079 but in the release notes, it's mentioned in the known limitations...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

I ran the generator for 1.5 hour. The input voltage was oscillating between 228.9 and 231.9V, but was mostly stable at that upper value. Was charging (80% max charge rate) at around 110amps until absorption was reached. I've not had a single FET1 over temperature warning. So cleaning the filter...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

@sollap Wow, thanks for all this amazing information! I'll post back tomorrow morning about my findings after running the generator for 2 hours. @hwy17 I think I'll open a separate thread for the F63 errors. This one is really about the FET warning issue, sorry for the confusion.

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

@Mtnsun @400bird I'll do a generator test tomorrow morning - let it run for a good 2 hours and see. Normally I was getting the "FET1 Over Temperature" warning about 1 hour after the generator started - so we'll see. I've also put back my charge rate to 80% like it was before. And indeed, I'll...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

I guess the filter was dirty... I took a pic before and after taking it out. I've cleaned it with water and I'm letting it dry for now. I'll reinstall it later today. All that dirt fell off on the wires when I took it out. I've looked using a flashlight through the hole after removing the filter...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

@sollap Awesome! I'll have a look at this during the weekend. If I'm unsure I'll post pics here. Thank you so much for the maintenance guide, I'll go through it.

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

@hwy17 Thanks for your answer. I indeed considered it (the EG4 more specifically). Automatic operation is indeed a problem although it could work with the AGS' stop voltage. An other issue, at least with the EG4, was the fact it's limited to 100A.

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

@yodamota and @Philip53 Thanks for your answers. Very good idea for the additional fan, I could try that too. For the cleaning the OEM fans, must I remove the inverter entirely from the wall? (it's wall hung). I hope not. @sollap You mean AC voltage coming from the generator? If so when I...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

Hi @yodamota - thanks for the reply. The rate was 80%, and I lowered down to 75% and I still got the error. I spoke to Schneider and they told me to keep lowering it down until it doesn't make the error anymore. I'll try next at 65% but I don't think it's a sustainable solution. I need the extra...

    Schneider XW6848+ Cleanup

Hello, I've had this inverter for the past 7 years. Overwall it worked great beside throwing now and then a F63 error (AC Overload) when turning off the generator. I've been in discussions many times with Schneider on this with no progress. In the past few days, after the generator running for...
