I highly 2nd this opinion! While the 18kpv hardware seems ok its a pita in the software imo. If your system is adequate for you I would spend money on Battery capacity.

This has probably all ready been addressed, what causes the clock to not keep time? Its off every day now. Kept time for months now it wont keep time.

I have a 3.5ton with micro air. Off grid with 50kwh battery it still flicks the lights once briefly on startup . On grid its fine. Led house light. With incandescent idk if you would notice. But it does drop the voltage to 219v or so from 240.

From 240v to 220v seems anything above 3kw. Even 800w loads brings it down to 226 for a second then recovers to 240

2x 2g cables 4’ from 4p16s 280ah battery. Load Voltage drops to 220v then comes back up in about 2 seconds ish when a good load come on. This is in off grid mode. Im waiting for a new dongle from SS. Does the newer firmware update help the voltage sag dramatically?

Mine did the same thing. Reduced the charge rate to .2kw according to the app but didn’t disconnect at set voltage. It junk in my opinion.

If ground rated pressure treated it should last longer than larger cross section of treated timber since the chemicals can penetrate further into the wood. That what I read regarding poll barn construction.

Hope we can get an answer to this. Being I have the same problem I don’t have an answer for you, except maybe check your discharge amps from your battery. Make sure it’s set high enough. And your not getting voltage drop.

Someone commented on the fans earlier. Id agree a fan should come on earlier. Mine seems to run cooler with a 5kw load when the fans ramp up. Anything less and man the front of the unit is warm

I posted this exact question yesterday. I loose a lot of solar production because of the swings. Its stable with grid off. Are you able to change absorb and float charge v on lead batteries? Mine is set fail every time. Signature doesn’t know why.

Maybe rename the “zero export”. Not everyone know this and its just false advertising imo. I bought this unit because of that feature.

How have you not exported anything?! Wish I had an answer for you. I cant keep mine from charging battery. My unit is very grid preferred. My solar jumps all over with grid connected. Its stable with grid off.

There is a lot that you learn after you purchase one. Nice unit but needs a lot of messing with and internet is practically mandatory.

What if it was only a 12v battery with 4 cells. Its still .5c? Intuitively it would seem to be measured per cell no?

On a 16s battery that is 280ah is charging at 140a .5c or is it 140/16? 8.75a .03C? Thanks!

The unit seems to prioritize grid a lot. For example it jumps from pulling from grid to not constantly. And every time it pulls from grid it drops the pv production. Rinse and repeat. Its not cloud cover nor battery capacity issue. It just swings all the time. If I turn of grid input its stable...
