    WTB: Sol-Ark 12K sold

I haven't decided on grid tie or not. Is this definition of grid tied: power goes back out to the utility? I asked earlier, but no one responded: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/permit-related-off-grid-definition-and-emt-use.72124/ Yes, I'm in California. For our county in California, my...

    WTB: Sol-Ark 12K sold

Looking to buy one of these all in one Sol-Arks, anyone want to sell? Talked with Sol-Ark to split L1 and L2, one line per 120V critical load panel (2 CLoad panels installed). They said this wouldn't be a problem. Only issue with the 12K is shutdown on imbalance, that the 15K could handle...

    Sol-Ark 5K 1P

Right, at 4:06 he points to the 240volt breakers on the panel requiring 240V (AC, dryer and range) now running on only 120V. How will they be powered with this setup...this seems a half-baked solution? I need an aha moment!....

    Sol-Ark 5K 1P

right. But per this video his dryer/other 240V loads *breakers* are on the bus with 120V nonsplit phase/single phase, correct?....how would these loads be satisfied by 120V?

    Sol-Ark 5K 1P

I'm scratching my head on this install, and it's probably an obvious answer starting me in the face on this single phase inverter. I'm hoping someone has the interest / is able to describe this connection in this youtube video. The installer seems to be running the 120V inverter out single...

Permit related: off grid definition and EMT use

Howdy. Hope everyone is well. I'm using an internet-based permit service and I'm hopeful the DIY experts here can help me with a couple of questions regarding the drawing. In trying to describe my system, the draftsperson stated that my system is grid tied when I was of the thinking was not...

    Carling / Midnite Breaker Feedback

Great question....partly along the reason I asked in the OP. I’d be curious what the mfg support department would say about the housing failure. At least with this style breaker I can grab the brass when torquing, to remove stress from the Bakelite housing.

    Carling / Midnite Breaker Feedback

Just received this Carling/Midnite breaker and wanted to get feedback. The brass post is well connected (riveted?) to the steel terminal, however the entire post/terminal assembly is quite loose/moving around quite a bit in the housing. Is this normal? When the breaker is on, movement is...

Breakers for 48V lithium batteries that get up to 54V of current?

your user name is on the tip of my brain on what it means, but I can't quite decipher it. Yes, I saw these. I was looking for a box for this Midnite 125A panel mount breaker and the midnite box in your link has a 100A max. I'm looking to house this single breaker as a disconnect/breaker for a...

Alternative panel mount breaker box to the Midnite MNEDC-QUAD?

Hi Technodave, I went to the midnite solar site and I don't see them selling anything, I don't see a cart. I do see them pointing to distributors for purchasing. Am I missing something? I too am looking for a "box" to panel mount a midnite breaker.

    Victron putz

the fuse I bought is a t type littelfuse 150A (same hole sizes for 110-200A fuses). It will not fit without bungering up the threads. It's 0.5mm off, so I'm going to take the tiniest amount off for it to fit. I'll do that soon and post results. So dissapointed with the lynx shunt regarding...
