MPP Solar no support, warranty a joke

Hi Gringbob. I have a PIP Max 11kw, 2 actually, but 1 dead. Fortunately running fine on one for now. MPP Solar have been difficult wanting me strip down and self diagnose or strip down inverter internally. Did they send you the board free and you fixed it? How easy was it, was it difficult or...

MPP Solar PIP MAX 11kw EMI noise

Mine wines a bit with solar PV, but nothing too major. As for EMF, have you measured it verses other electrical devices and what area is affected around it? EMF originates from most electrical items to be honest. How can you be sure these inverters are worse than other inverters or other devices?

2 x MPP PIP Max 2x11kw output voltage issue

As far as I know I never changed that. Solar assistant doesn't allow it. I will check that on the actual inverter.

MPP Solar PIP-MAX 11kW requires 55V from battery in order to supply rated power

Put another PIP Max 11kw in parallel, mine works a dream like that with ample power. I run Pylontech US5000 so 15 cell voltage is lower, typically running at 48-51.1 range. As I have 2 in parallel, I don't have any issues. My guess is I have easily 16Kw minimum, likely at all voltages. Not...

Pylontech US5000 Alarm sounding all lights flashing

sorry for late posting a final resolution to this thread. The end result was a return of the battery to Pylontech repairers in UK. That went smoothly actually, very easy, currier collection and return no issue. They say they updated firmware and it solved the over voltage issue. Not sure and...

2 x MPP PIP Max 2x11kw output voltage issue

I have 2 x 11 kw off grid inverters installed in parallel in UK, with 6 Pylontech US5000. These are single phase, and initially were setup without PV, and monitored using Solar Assistant. They were setup to run at 230v single phase, and were running just fine charging at night and discharging in...

Charging Pylontech US5000s at 51.9V seems to be fine - is it?

I really don't know what is best. I tried 48v but found with a decent load the voltage drops and prematurely changes inverter onto utility too soon. I have therefore changed it to 47v. I should add I'm trying not to go too low on SOC. i also use Solar Assistant that can shut inverters down at...

Battery will be being hopefully sent back.

Pylontech US5000 Alarm sounding all lights flashing

Alarm sounding and all lights flashing again after running fine all day. As soon as load increases very slightly having discharged to 55-70% SOC, away it goes. I'll try moving the comms cables. Thanks again!

Pylontech US5000 Alarm sounding all lights flashing

Many thanks for this. This forum is great as without it you can feel quite alone trying to figure things out. I guess I need to work out next how to connect a PC to get even more info out of this battery. I only get so much out of Solar Assistant, but that goes down to 0.1v accuracy and reports...

Pylontech US5000 Alarm sounding all lights flashing

Okay great thanks Sunshine, I'll try that again. I have at times reduced charge amps down, I wonder if I allowed them time to balance, I think they had hours. I will try again and see if they need more time. Do you have these inverters, what is the best way to change the time period the float...

Pylontech US5000 Alarm sounding all lights flashing

Hi all, I need your help! Problem is Pylontech US5000 battery during discharge constant tone alarm sounds with all lights flashing. Solar Assistant shows 0 Watts, 61% state of charge, highest/lowest cell 3.3v. This has happened around 5 times, usually with a slightly increased load of about 12...

Charging Pylontech US5000s at 51.9V seems to be fine - is it?

I've just switched on 2 x 11kw Voltronic (MPP PIP Max 11kw) in parallel with 6 x Pylontech US5000, and having the same issue of being unable to reduce charge voltage. I am relatively new to this, even though I've managed to get a decent system running. I don't want to damage/stress the batteries...
