I'm building Solar Truck 2.0. Here's a video of Solar Truck 1.0
I wanted to try something other than using U Bolts on this setup and found references of some people using Stainless Steel cable ties. I found some 500Lb ties that should work well. 4x ties per panel == 2,000Lb holding force. I plan on also putting in a backup method such as paracord like they do for overhead lighting to prevent failure if the original mount fails.
Sanity checking, is using stainless cable ties a bad idea? Any guesses for what holding force that should be needed for this setup?
