I'm planning on building the below system: a hybrid eg4 18kpv collecting pv from 2 arrays....plus a 3rd array of IQ7 microinverters coming in on the generator input.
System Design
This system is designed to exhaust the microinverters during peak hours, then use the other 2 arrays coming in to the hybrid, then use the batteries, and lastly rely on the grid to handle any additional load.
Questions:
- Can the EG4 18kpv prevent export to grid? (given that microinverters are feeding the generator input)
- Because this is a grid-tied system, frequency shifting can't be implemented by the EG4 18kpv to control the microinverter's pv production. Would the EG4 18kpv have some other mechanism of controlling or shutting off the microinverter's pv production (Relay Control)?
