I have a 6 year old 14KW Tesla Powerwall that I acquired for free( long story) I have it installed at my off grid cottage for past 18 months. I have ten 355 watt solar panels with grid tie micro inverter to charge the powerwall. It works great for 11 months of the year except in December when the sun is low. Problem with the tesla is it will not allow it to be charged with a generator. If can find solution to charge it with generator once every few days I would be great. Thinking maybe I can gonnect 120v AC to Dc 48v converter to generator and input 48v into few of the micro inverters and run generator few hours a day to charge the powerwall. Any ideas if this would work or other solutions to charge the powerwall in December other than solar.
