I have an RV with 4x100ah Battleborn batteries, an Victron Multiplus and Cerbo system. Normally that is enough for my boondocking needs but at Burning Man for the week I would like more battery capacity to lessen dependence on my generator. I have several Epoch 460ah batteries that I don't want to permanently install in my rig but to used for the week. My plan is to put a 3" port in the bottom of my battery compartment and permanently install an Anderson SB350 connector and 4/0 cable I can drop out and attach to the Epochs 1 at a time. I will fuse the Epochs at the positive terminal and will hook them up and turn them on at a similar SOC to the house batteries. What do I need to consider or what are the pitfalls of this plan?

Change your shunt’s battery Amp Hours number so your percentage stays correct (both when adding and removing the “extra” battery.
