Aptos with mini split

Went to purchase a mini split with 4 Aptos panels. Sig solar will not sale unless you purchase 10 panels. Only need 4 panels to run?????

Consider that panels RARELY put out rated power. They also only put out whatever their max is for a given day at noon if facing south.

You probably want to run the unit off PV for more than an hour or two a day, yes? If so, you likely need to buy 50-100% more solar than the unit requires at max output.

Well, it’s maybe better to be over paneled on poor sun days than under paneled, and one can always sell the unneeded panels or find another use for them.
