As I understand it, the BMS amp rating is the maximum current that will pass through it at any given time. The higher of: Total AC and DC loads including inverter inefficiency Total charge current Also many people here consider it a general rule to de-rate the claimed output of cheaper commodity BMS' by 20-50% maybe even more in some cases.
