Basis for BMS amp rating

Anyone know what a BMS amp rating is based on? Is it the amps pulled by your load...or the charging amps, or inverter amps. Which amps?

Anyone know what a BMS amp rating is based on? Is it the amps pulled by your load...or the charging amps, or inverter amps. Which amps?

As I understand it, the BMS amp rating is the maximum current that will pass through it at any given time.
The higher of:

1. Total AC and DC loads including inverter inefficiency
2. Total charge current

Also many people here consider it a general rule to de-rate the claimed output of cheaper commodity BMS' by 20-50% maybe even more in some cases.
