My first post here...

How or not is bifacial gain (see example below) and the front panel reconciled with Delta Pro 150v/15A limit withOUT the magic smoke?

If I were to run PV input at 1620 watts consistently, would the Delta Pro continue to clip it to 1600 watts indefinitely?

How does someone estimate the spike for cold? Is it the panel or cable during transmission where the spike originates?

Bifacial Gain
CS6W-540MB-AG
0% 540 W 41.3 V 13.08 A 49.2 V 13.90 A 21.0%

5% 567 W 41.3 V 13.73 A 49.2 V 14.60 A 22.1%
10% 594 W 41.3 V 14.39 A 49.2 V 15.29 A 23.1%
20% 648 W 41.3 V 15.70 A 49.2 V 16.68 A 25.2%

As you can see the voltage stays the same but the current increases. So in terms of danger to your SCC by exceeding it's voltage max, shouldn't matter. There should be a temp coefficient listed on the panel also, can use that to figure out the max voltage at coldest temps that will be encountered. It's the cold panel that causes it, not the cables.

The problem is with a Voc of 49.2 (at 25C), you can't series three of those safely and stay under the 150V max solar input.

"Temperature Coefficient of VOC -0.26%/°C"

So just going down from 25C to freezing, you'll be going up 6.5% in V. Down to -25C, an additional 13% of voltage from nominal 25C levels.
