Bulging 2v 1000ah AGMs

Howdy,

My second hand 2V 1000Ah batteries have been meeting our needs for almost 10 months. I haven't peeked on them in a while, and saw this swelling going on today. I believe the 'wetness' in the picture near the terminals is dielectric grease. They have been charged with temp compensation enabled. 20C when the picture was taken.

Are these toast, or acceptable swelling? Appreciate any help anyone can provide.

I should note that these have never been discharged below 85% SOC.

Im note sure about the swelling, but I think these need two cables or inter cell connectors (1 per pole/ 2 positive poles/ 2 negative poles) per positive and negative. By using only 1 pole they may not charge right.
