Can you extend the wires on bluetooth.??

how far can you extend the wire on bluetooth dongle on the JDS bms controllers?/ i need to put them up higher and est about 4 ft of wire needed.. I was just going to cut the wire and add the extra between plug and receiver.. same gauge or larger ?? I was going to use butt splice for teh most part.

You can make the wires longer, how exactly you do that I’m uncertain. I have extended WiFi wires multiple times, but I’ve never cut/spliced them, I just got a longer wire with the exact connector and re-routed it. Bluetooth has limited energy so the longer you make the wire you might get into signal degradation.
