Charger malfunction resulting in a 4.3 VDc

Due to a charger malfunction - set at 3.6 but charged up to 4.3 VDc I have cells that look like this. These were being top balanced for the first time.
Trash?

More than likely trash. If you want to be safe, then try and discharge to a lower voltage level, and recycle appropriately.

Please explain your statement “if you want to be safe discharge and recycle appropriately. Are you saying discharge the cells before trashing(Recycling) the cells?? Or discharge and try a normal cycle to see if they take a charge??
 
Discharge so they are non-lethal, and dispose of properly.

Some might try to see if they are okay, but you never know what kind of real damage has been done
