Do DC-DC chargers, still take their toll on your vehicles alternator?

No, you can purchase or set them to only transfer so much current. Unless you really need to hammer the battery full in an hour or two. Just stay within reason or reference of the max current you can allow from the vehicle system.

I just looked up the Trailer Charge fuse on my F450. It was 25A, so I just ordered a 20A Renogy DC-DC charger. Thanks for the sound advice on this forum..
