Late Follow-up: You are going to want more battery. I want more battery. More battery good. Need more battery. I will however say that the HWH on balance does not really use that much juice for me, but nobody here takes hour long hot showers either, we take cold ones here in the desert ;-). It does create a high demand though. 1 30KW battery rack is taking me up to around 0030hrs before it gives out at the 5% threshold i set. I've noticed when you get below 10%, the on/off cycles of non AC high demand items (like the HWH) becomes noticeable... I need about 7 more hours of reserve until the Sun is back up enough. I might be able to stretch deeper into the afternoon/evening before digging into battery with 8-10 more west facing panels. I'm producing just under 100KWH a day, but after about 1200hrs I have no place to put the electrons. YMMV.
